/shelter/ General #1: Digging In Edition Anonymous Board owner 05/04/2020 (Mon) 09:18:51 No.5
This is /shelter/ General, a thread for all your general emergency sheltering needs. Use this thread for anything that you don’t feel needs a full thread, as a hub thread to direct incoming anons, and as a discussion thread for any matters affecting the webring as a whole. Please remain calm; keep panic and argument to a minimum here. If you want to yell at each other then do it in a site-specific, board-specific, or other specific thread. If you’re hitting this thread during an event then please be welcome. Everything will be all right.
This is a great idea. Thanks OP, I'll bring it up casually on our board.

For the record it was just announced that Anoncafe has backup domains now in addition to https://anon.cafe there are also https://anoncafe.org and https://anoncafe.co so bookmark those too.
>>615 Maiwaifu was spreading that Loleron was responsible for taking down Julay, which is false. Him claiming PLW logs IPs is probably also bullshit.
>>617 Thanks Anon! :^)
>>615 thats bullshit, crowfag showed a weakpoint in julayworlds moderation team. hanging flesh and other globals do believe that 2d=cp which is an opinion that josh, kiwifarms, killstream paypigs, and 9chan believe in. If anything Julay world made too many enemies over the last few months and adopted stances found on kiwifarms.
>>615 accordion to the julay thread the threat of ip scraping from plw doesn't exist. they use internal images uploaded by users rather than external sites to serve the custom mascots for their respective boards
Is anyone else saddened how /b/ just outright dissapeared?

Level up, motherfuckers. All of the internet is under coordinated state sponsored attack. What they don't tell you here is that these people have already been running Facebook for years. Zuck cuck is just a figurehead and they have taken power away from him. https://www.centerforsecuritypolicy.org/2020/05/08/facebook-appoints-pro-islamist-yemeni-organizer-to-oversight-board/
>>907 It will only get worse over time. R/N, at least we're only dealing with incompetent diversity-hire potatoes (even though they are already throwing literally billions of dollars at us, kek what a fleecing our tax-dollars are taking), and chatbot shill spamming is basically ineffective at this stage. In general things like the GPT2 w/ large dataset are quite easy to pick out as uncanny and not human. But rapid progress is being made in this area, for example the MIM-based systems that Google development is trying to hide from the public eye (can't having dem ebil-nahdzees reelecting that ebil-nahdzee DRUMPF again, now can we?). In the future, sophisticated AI systems will be targeting all non-commie venues with gaslighting, astroturfing, deflection, and D&C tactics devised by intelligence agencies. This will, unfortunately, be a massive onslaught at some point. They have definitely declared war on toxic, problematic wrongthink on the Intertubes Anon.
>>618 >>649 >>689 nice damage control loleron
>>907 >>916 It's time to accept that we lost and non-Marxist thought has successfully been erased from the world. There is literally nothing we can do to stop this or escape this save for an hero. There is nobody left to save us and nowhere left to go. It's done. The fucking blackpill anon was right all along and we refused to listen.
>>916 Resistance is futile.
>>924 >There is literally nothing we can do to stop this or escape this save for an hero. Fuck off, POS. You will lose in the end, actually. You dumbasses never realized your literal-gommie programming actually makes you retards. We, on the other hand can actually do our own thinking, and actively adapt to changing circumstances. You.will.lose.
>>599 Does it matter when we're all gonna die anyway? See >>907, our enemies are visible but they are literally unstoppable. >Chimp out is happening and there aren't any good /pol/ boards to go on >pph on the webring is lower than ever >sites are constantly going down right as everyone moves into them >user count being bled dry by the month I refuse to accept that this place is the only alternative. Even though I really love the webring the activity is very worrying. >inb4 pph doesn't matter It does when the biggest boards only get 11 posts an hour give or take when this is supposed to replace 8chan when it was good to an extent. There are tons of slow comfy sites but a severe lack of moderately paced quality sites for a few years now at this point. We already hit the turning point for the worse didn't we?
>>1306 >thinks low PPH is not a good trait Leave if you don't want to be here. I heard 4chan and 8kun still want more users.
>>1307 pph-grousing and other blackpilling is a typical diversion d&c tactic the cakekike and the glowniggers commonly engage in.
>>1309 >typical deflection d&c*
>>1307 I'm not going back to those sites unless I have to and I'm sticking around here for the time being. I'm just worried about the future with current events. Also reread my post retard. I clearly say that low pph isn't necessarily bad and I enjoy quite a few sites with it. It's just that when the only quality site with a high amount of traffic compared to every other site below it gets slowly strangled to death and every other site, especially on the webring, that tries to relight that fire gets a carpet thrown on top of them the second they start to gain traction, you can't help but be somewhat worried. Also you can't honestly tell me small boards, with a few major exceptions, can enjoy the same success they did on old cripplechan, a larger site. Those boards generally live off of preexisting userbases being unable to survive on their own due to those boards being niche even for imageboard standards. A site just for something like /loomis/ can't really work unless the web ring is populated enough for people to notice it. Heck, it's hard to find even some of the more popular boards on the webring at some points of the day due to a lack of anyone posting for hours at a time. If anything, my frustration lies with how anons didn't run away from pigpen way sooner and how divided everything seems now. Heck, I feel like most anons don't even know where everyone else went and gave up on imageboards for the time being due to Ron being Ron. There's isn't even a major /pol/ that I know of that isn't boomer central. How the fuck did that even happen rhetorical question. It was Jews and retards telling their boomer parent's about /pol/ to "redpill" them. >>1309 >So blackpilled people think I'm a fed or even worse mark Honestly I might be obsessing over this a little too much. Maybe I should take a break from imageboards for a bit and try to sort that out. I guess to a degree I'm worried about the webring imploding on itself with no alternatives left outside of faggot shit like facebook and discord the second I take a break. This has happened so many times to sites I deeply care about at this point that I can't help but feel paranoid it's going to happen again. Sorry about that.
>>1324 >I can't help but feel paranoid it's going to happen again. Sorry about that. Eh, it's cool. Been there, done that (not with IBs though). >If anything, my frustration lies with how anons didn't run away from pigpen way sooner and how divided everything seems now. I feel that, I was wishing for an exodus for years but it didn't happen sometimes even after the 8chan takedown. The mod of a board I frequented forced an 8kun exodus recently (it was the right thing to do) but the new board is getting posts-per-week, mostly dead, just a deserted cache for nomads. You have a good point about niche boards (now that I think about it, some of my favorite I found through the attention hungry games. Maybe webring hotspots should reboot them) My salt is with the containment boards and controversial boards bringing drama and takedown attempts wherever they settle. My boards are often the ones that suffer the collateral damage. >Also you can't honestly tell me small boards, with a few major exceptions, can enjoy the same success they did on old cripplechan, a larger site. Good point and I mostly agree, but some less niche boards have had the same success. Especially ones that were plagued by crossboarders either shotgun-spamming or attempting to spread literal propaganda for whatever they believed in. Smaller boards suffered from this problem much more than others. PS That issue was not because of the jews conspiring, unless you just mean that figuratively for money-hungry social media sites, in which case it completely is. (((Facebook))), YouTube, Breitbart, 8chan and those kinds of sites all directly monetarily benefited from either starting and fueling fights or bringing as many people as possible into their line of thinking, regardless of quality. It's corruption through popularity again and again. Fuck internet advertising.
>>1326 >Some of my favorite I found through the attention hungry games. Maybe webring hotspots should reboot them There was a feature in early 8chan that where the cripple would pick a board recommended to him through /boards/ or something like that it's been 4 years and widely feature it across the site akin to the attention hungry games far later except with a farther reach. Perhaps a feature could be worked into the webring where a featured board/site is advertised in a special slot on it in the same vein. The only down sides I can think of to an idea like that is autistic admins samefagging nominating all of their boards so more people visit their site. That and if a porn board or something like it won, it could piss off like a dedicated nofap or christian site if they ever joined the webring. >My salt is with the containment boards and controversial boards bringing drama and take down attempts wherever they settle. I think the winning move here is for those boards to settle on tor while being connected to the webring. Good luck taking down an v3 onion address with an admin that's slightly competent. You could argue another protocol is better for whatever reason, but everyone knows how to use tor due to it being easy as shit. Due to the ecosystem in place with anon.cafe effectively working as a dedicated meet up spot if shit goes down, with hoppe-samma being a good example that apparently just happened, the webring as a whole can only really be taken down by killing their users, disconnecting their users by somehow breaking the webring itself NNTPchan comes to mind as the dev behind that gave up and killed every site that used it directly afaik or by killing all of the webring's servers at once. Thats why I'm so worried about as the relative lack of users because it seems the most likely scenario at the moment. >spoiler I consider the cripple an honorary Jew bringing redditors to the site so I mostly meant it more figuratively. Same goes for the larper only known as qnigger. Honestly though it really wouldn't surprise me if an actual Jew told retarded people on reddit and sites like it to post on /pol/ or something to shit up the pot. I'm sure you've seen that old image of some plug in the jidf lol made to shit up " the evil racist hacker site 4chan" back in the day. Assuming that's not photoshopped it's not a total stretch of the imagination.
>>1327 >The only down sides I can think of to an idea like that is autistic admins samefagging nominating all of their boards so more people visit their site. That and if a [any controversial board] or something like it won, it could piss off [their counterparts] if they ever joined the webring. I can see that happening, especially if it were somehow made as a global thing rather than a anon.cafe project with external popularity (like /icup/). Those two points would be solved by doing an attention-hungry games type comp where they are chosen randomly without bias. Of course, there is less curation which could be its own disadvantage. >I think the winning move here is for those boards to settle on tor while being connected to the webring. I agree, any 'at-risk' site should try to be accessible via onion at least as a backup. In an ideal world we'd all be using tor (or similar protocol) for anon posting, since you can only really blend in with others using it. It's probably too high of a barrier to entry. The webring is much harder to properly takedown so yeah, lack of (quality) users probably is the weakest link.
>>1284 >julay
Kindchan is ded?
>>1331 >any 'at-risk' site should try to be accessible via onion at least as a backup the only sites you should spend any time on are all at-risk. otherwise, just go to plebbit & twatter and be a normalnigger.
