Actionable otter tips.
Do sea otters drink salt water?

I hope they won't kill any otters in the war.

Otters will win.
Nothing to worry about.
All part of the plan.

Have you ever discovered otter tracks?
River otters have webbed feet with 5 toes and little claws. They almost look like human hands and they are very useful for the otters' hunting. Otters rarely take a break so these paws are always grabbing something or pattering around somewhere.
Their tracks are unique and easily recognisable on the right surfaces, for the European otter it is about 5-7 centimetres long.
I'm gonna go look for them soon. Should be interesting. Will report here if I find any.
Do you guys live in a place close to otters?
>>239
I do, there's proofs of Lutra Lutra in some areas around my city. There's been a lot of work put into making the place habitable for them.

I did go otter surveying over the holidays and discovered these tracks with some spraint. This was right by a river under a bridge. You can see what the otter did here: It climbed out of the water to leave its mark.
I wanna go do it this year again. Hopefully I find something... Maybe I'll even see an otter again

I am addicted to otters.
I do have a very strong positive feeling about otters. A conviction to live and die for them, in the name of God.

It's so cold! Anonymous 11/15/2019 (Fri) 17:22:08 No. 311 [Reply]
This cold makes me want to be a sea otter. Can someone please genetically alter me so I can grow sea otter fur on my body?

Sorry fella, you lost the species lottery. Better luck next time!
Tusk 2: Otter Insanity
A human with otter fur would be a whacky looking ape.
>>311 This is why they were hunted to near extinction. Sea otter fur is just the best of the best.

Is there any hope for otters? Anonymous 09/27/2019 (Fri) 18:07:43 No.144 [Reply] [Last]
Their population is still declining and they're already extremely rare everywhere... It looks like despite all efforts they're not gonna make it.
Even in their small numbers in Europe you already have lobbyists wanting them all shot, even though they barely have places to live.
Please tell me otters aren't gonna go extinct. This isn't a good situation, and I'm not feeling too well

>>242
Yes
I dream of building a fort/bunker for otters, as a place where they will be safe. It will be heavily armed, capable of withstanding all hostilities. the otters will be guarded 24/7, and there will be bunkers where their genetic material is kept so they may be cloned, to repopulate the world if they go EW.
I am working on making such a project a reality, but it needs time, money and effective planning.
>>409 It is a noble idea, as otter lives may be protected through such an act. But we have to grant the otters their freedom, too.

I had a dream about otters in the night. An otter came to me, licked my fingers and then I got to rub its belly.
Do you ever dream about otters?
(273.37 KB 800x533 short_clawed_otter.jpg)
(755.85 KB 1341x1608 normalottercropped1.jpg)
I've occasionally had dreams about otters. I remember a dream in which I was an otter. I ran around sliding through mud and diving in a river and I even climbed a tree.

In another more recent dream I had an otter in my bedroom.
I see otters when I close my eyes
I've had several dreams about otters by now, I vaguely remember one when I was exploring some stream and met one behind a fence.

AAAAAAAAAH SO CUTE

That's a caiman, not a "croc". Caimans are small.

Buxolestes Anonymous 12/10/2019 (Tue) 02:05:48 No. 390 [Reply]
All we have of it are crushed up fossils and some renderings of what it might have looked like.. Now, why should such a sublime creature be forgotten just for being taken from us by the Grande Couture?
Oh, what would I give for just one chance to go back to that time, 45 million years ago, when Buxolestes still lived. To observe it, living, moving, hunting, swimming gracefully the way it truly did.
Just imagining it is making me teary eyed...
He was the otter of his time.

This is another drawing of it.

All the pantolestids were basically just small otters
>>394 It looks super cute but a little more rat-like than otters. Did it really have spots?
