The problem is that I don't think there's anyone like that in my town, so I'm probably going to have to go like an hour or more away. >>1445 It's a 1990 Mazda RX7 Convertible The image isn't of the exact car, but mine looks identical. Some guy was selling it because he was to have his first kid soon and didn't have any room for the car in his life anymore. It was almost completely stock when I bought it, other than a nice short shifter. I've since changed all the fluids, coils and plugs and threw in a hi flow cat to make it a bit louder, but not too loud. It runs good and sounds amazing. Other than that, I'm not too mod crazy and I love the car how it is right now. I simply want to focus on maintenance and preserve the mostly stock image I found the car in. Making connections because of this car has been the greatest thing about owning it.

>>1466 A fellow rotard That's quite the list. I'm surprised you hadn't mentioned a koyorad anywhere. The only thing I'd take from it is the premix kit, which I actually just ordered because of your reply. I had done a fair share of premix research before and after buying the car, but came to the conclusion that more frequent oil changes was the key to driving without it as long as my OMP worked. What I wasn't aware of was how prone to failure the S5 OMPs are and have since decided to start running the car with premix. The engine compression is in the 100s for both rotors and she's been good to me for the 3000 miles I've driven her. Starts right up hot every time with only 47k on the original motor. It would be a true shame if this all came undone because I neglected this one thing.. Still though, your list is horrendous. I like your hood idea, but the only hood I'd ever consider is the TII factory hood. E-Type louvres are quite pretty tho.

>>1486 Yeah 150 ml I think is all you'd need to dilute a full tank's worth too, cause I'm not sure a whole lot is really necessary. I had a look at rads just before I posted to see if I could advise on those things and there's no consensus there without cutting bumper supports or something. I'm told though for a turbo intercooler it's best to just grab one from a model of Isuzu. Any clever ducting looks like it'll require body cutting or fab work but that's where I'd start with a factory rad instead. The messy wheel arches obstruct airflow across the rotors as well. The oil cooler mesh grill things there was a thread for someone making their own out of some chicken wire that I thought looked good and so I jotted the idea down. Most of this stuff is a larp, I think I drew up most of the list a year ago while owning a rotor seems so out of reach for me. The camber angles especially you can just tell I haven't really got a clue for how suspension is supposed to be built. All I remember about the electrics was that rotors tend to fry them or that the fuel with oil in it doesn't want to combust as readily or something... There will be discussions covering things like cold starts and the starter motors that you can find. The hood of the car when it says "Amemiya" or "Mazdaspeed" on it they just somehow look uglier than the stock ones to me. If I wanted vents I'd take a stock one and try to make some of my own holes in it instead.

Rotary engines are fascinating, even if you're not into cars. It's a widely misunderstood motor that has it's drawbacks, but they're incredible engines that have a cult like following all thanks to Mazda and what they did with them. Mazda was the only car manufacturer willing to take a huge risk in investing in them for decades despite many companies like Ford and Suzuki experimenting with them early on and deeming the rotary a failure. Mazda never lost faith. Because of modern emissions standards, rotary engines will likely never be the sole power output of a new car ever again, but that makes them all the more fascinating to me and was a big reason why I bought the above car. The story and legacy of the rotary engine inspires me.
