Coffee Anonymous 02/04/2023 (Sat) 23:36:01 No.9 [Reply]
What is more core to the /late/ experience than coffee? How you like yours? What brands? Cream? Sugar? Or, like me, do you take yours black as the night?
8 posts omitted.
I typically drink coffee black, but I do like a cold coffee with white chocolate raspberry creamer in it on hot summer days. >brands Copper Moon and Green Mountain. The "Stargazer" blend by Copper Moon is my go-to, along with the Nantucket blend by Green Mountain. Both very nice and smooth with lovely aromas. These are both medium roasts if I'm not mistaken, but they do have lighter and darker roasts for anons more accustomed to those tastes.
Medium roast on a V60 cone, black with no sugar. This local brand turned out really chocolately.
Black coffee is the best. No cream, a lot of sugar though is good.
>>9 I rarely drink coffee with sugar nowadays, except when I buy an instant one. Latte, espresso, and americano is my most consumed type of coffee. Not sure about brands though because I ask my dad to make it for me haha, he makes coffee for a hobby, even sells some to friends and family if he has free time.

For the /late/ nights, I am more of an energy drink person with lots of ice. It makes me zen with the first sip. But I also enjoy a very early, 3 or 4am, internet session. I make my best V60 pour overs during those times because I am not sleepy like in a normal work day.

Animals you hate Anonymous 05/24/2023 (Wed) 03:41:42 No.553 [Reply]
What animals do you absolutely detest? That you wish were exterminated? For me its dolphins.
>>553 I heard bad stories about some anon called dolphin poster.
None, non-human animals, even the sentient ones, lack the society to enable grand acts of evil. Some species may engage in aggressive or sadistic behavior circumstantially but generally brutality in the animal world has a reason behind it and predators don't take more than they need. Humans are the other hand... fuck most post-industrial humans.

>>553 Mosquitoes, flies, ticks, leeches, gnats, feral cats, wild rats, and so on. I wouldn't actually want them wiped out due to the ecological issues it would potentially cause. other than feral cats, that is. They wreak havoc on the environment and should be killed on sight.

>>491 >What is up with the anime people? is this a generational thing? i can't understand why anybody would like anime unless they are internalized. i guess, maybe, i can see it being comparable to the crowd that plays dungeons and dragons. I've never been that big on anime either. I watched some more Miyazaki movies a few years ago and ended up finding movies I enjoyed, but overall it's more like something cheesy I can enjoy sometimes. Watching a movie like Vampire Hunter D is like watching '80s wrestling promos or a '70s Godzilla movie to me. I don't really bother with TV shows because it's too much a time sink.
>>508 Personally few of your songs feel calm to me. The vocals being significantly louder than the music always takes me out of it. Some do appear to be relatively slow or drenched in noticeable reverb though. You might like the later albums of Pinkshinyultrablast (https://youtube.com/watch?v=iiuwBp85Vuk https://youtube.com/watch?v=Raom9jmGsIE) and Cocteau Twins (https://youtube.com/watch?v=ZpqaNjtaU6o) if you don't know them already. Who on /late/ pumps iron? What's your routine? Do you take any supplements? What are your goals?

>>263 I'm a nearly-lifelong fatass so I don't remember a time where my metabolism kicked enough ass to cover for it. I'm mid 30s now and this the first time I've fallen down so hard after "making it". Been cutting on humble pie. I think I'm just going to calorie count for the rest of my life regardless of my activity, got way too cocky about my fitness letting me eat whatever I wanted. The good news is I'm back to an hour of rowing per session (4 hours a week), albeit at half the resistance. My shirts feel looser too, but I'm still not getting on the scale. Maybe in another month or two. Jelly of your bike trails. I can bike here but I'm way too skittish of cars when I'm on one so I abstain.
I have some barbells I've been doing basic lifting with, but since I'm moving soon I haven't committed to a gym membership. Also have a lot of alcohol to burn through before the move so that kind of makes it pointless. The two seem to balance each other out though.

>>253 Recently I've restarted the conditioning routines from pic related, and they've been absolutely kicking my butt. My fitness has risen dramatically as a result though. Ross is an absolute beast. I highly recommend checking out all his work, especially if you're interested in overall conditioning and low expense training. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Be_4D8Cgs3o&ab_channel=RossEnamait
I tried doing some pull-ups on Sunday to get into the habit again, and my abdominal muscles are still hurting.
