>At the end of the day, this isn't fun, and I don't see any fun coming out of it. Not everything has to be fun so long as it's fulfilling, but it feels like I'm going home from one job to do another job.
Welcome to running services for zero compensation.
Volunteers rarely have the time to redo everything from scratch. That's why I published the two InstantIB roles to help others reduce the amount of time they spent having to bang their heads against the problems of administration without the risk that they'd fuck something up. Did you try InstantIB.LynxChan? It should reduce your problem set to a) spin up VPS with CentOS 7 and get SSH access, b) install Ansible, c) do the InstantIB.LynxChan tutorial, d) read the InstantIB.LynxChan README to configure the rest of your settings.
If you want to only have a lab, you might find that a virtual machine is better for you than paying for a VPS. That's how I got everything ready before publishing to our host and how I test changes before I push them live.
The hotpocket life's not for everyone.
Of course you can keep this board as your primary or as a bunker. In case I was unclear last time, let me assure you that you're welcome here.
We hate the "credible simulation" problem. If we had something to help clarify what a credible simulation is and is not in the eyes of the Romanians we'd be on firmer ground. When you have lolis in what's sold as a fully-featured "simulation game" then you must tread carefully.
