I really like the look of these jackets. They look like some kind of unusual leather Panzer wraps, but I have no idea where they came from or the background behind the picture. I've heard of land troops getting leather Kriegsmarine jackets, so that might be what these are.

>>349 I found an iteration on the jacket you named pic related. It does not look to be the same as the pictured jackets you posted. Other than that I've found a couple recreations of natsoc jackets, the first listed being sold as a "KRIEGSMARINE WW2 German Jacket – U-Boat Captain Leather Pea Coat". I hope this helps. https://thejacketshop.co.uk/shop/mens-leather-jackets-all/kriegsmarine-ww2-u-boat-captain-german-leather-jacket-pea-coat/ https://ultimateleatherjackets.com/fr/products/copy-of-black-belted-leather-trench-coat-for-women https://ultimateapparels.com/WW2-German-Navy-Officiers-Coat
>>349 >>351 To clarify the first link is not for the pictured jacket. I was typing it out while looking for the coat and fucked it up. The first link looks like it could be what you're looking for.

>>351 >>352 Yeah, the product listings I've seen of leather Panzer wrap jackets looked nothing like the ones in the picture I've posted . Pic related is one. I got the Kriegsmarine info from an Axis History Forum thread, but the picture links were down. It was just a shot in the dark. My other guess was that these were custom jackets. The picture isn't very good quality, but not only is the jacket on the right looks a bit different to me. Not only is it not belted, but the cut of the lapels seems more angular. Either way, they look really cool to me. They're almost like classier Perfecto jackets.
>>353 The lapels are at a higher angle in the listing pictures because they are buttoned one higher. If you unbotton the top button the lapels would look like the picture you provided in your first post. You may well be right that they are not the jackets you're looking for, but the lapel can at least be explained.

>>356 I was actually talking about the jackets in the first post. I can't tell if I'm seeing things or not due to the lack of detail. If there are differences, then that could be a sign that they were bespoke. I don't really have much to add, so I'll just post a few pictures.

>>357 Maybe you can find it in of one of these books. Found this quickly on libgen http://libgen.is/book/index.php?md5=2FD09C2A166AB9A023A3DDC68FE2DF8C zlibrary https://b-ok.cc/book/667136/a44713 https://b-ok.cc/book/814286/56855a https://b-ok.cc/book/531147/2ef7e3 Actually there's a lot on zlibrary heres a link to the search, if you're interested. https://b-ok.cc/s/German%20uniform
>>359 Neat, thanks. I kind of doubt I'm going to find it though, since it seems to have been a non-standard variation on a normal Panzer wrap.

As someone fascinated by the Japanese writer Mishima Yukio (more by his writings than his political vision, although the two may be related to some extents) If you don't know he created a private militia called Tatenokai (The Shield Society) and I must admit there uniforms are very sexy. IIRC they were created by Dior. Uniforms in general are sexy.

>>349 That is all they are, leather panzer wraps. The belt on the left is probably separate from the jacket. You can find a few replicas from militaria retailers.

>>409 From what I recall they're inspired by the way the Klansmen looked in The Birth of a Nation. I remember reading that the original 19th-century Klan was inspired by the way the "Calico Indians" presented themselves during the Anti-Rent War.
From what I understand the way cops can tell if it's a real or fake Klan incident is by the cloth itself, being that legitimate cloaks are sewed in a pattern that resembles a "K" throughout the cloth. Fake klan cloth is just sewed normally. >>408 Strongly agree >>410 Birth of a Nation is one of the greatest films ever made though Intolerance is the actual masterpiece I hadn't heard that the reason the Klan made their outfits the way they did had anything to do with Birth.
>>414 >I hadn't heard that the reason the Klan made their outfits the way they did had anything to do with Birth. I heard a long time ago that's where the look came from. Most of the robes have that faux-Pickelhaube spike on top like pic related, but I do remember a handful of outfits in the movie that look more like the look the second Klan would eventually adopt with the larger point. Maybe I'm recalling wrong, but it's not like the second Klan itself wasn't inspired directly by the movie. The original KKK never even burned crosses. That was invented by Thomas Dixon for The Clansman. >though Intolerance is the actual masterpiece As majestic of the ride of the Klan at the end of the movie is, I agree. The scale of the Babylon set is pretty mind-blowing. I actually prefer the Civil War section of The Birth of a Nation to the more famous Reconstruction one too.
>>439 The Catholics. The Reconstruction-era Klan didn't even have one standard look from what I know. It's kind of ironic that the anti-Catholic second Klan adopted such a similar look to what the penitents wear.
