Aside from the occasional written onomatopoeia? Constant use
of EMPHASIS whether
by bold type
, italic face
, CAPITAL LETTERS or -various- /textual/ *accoutrements*
in an attempt to imbue
~dialogue~ with a SENSE of cadence as Western COMIC *books* do -- right down to the use of unclosed, doubled hyphens in place of the closed-up em-dashes one would normally find in American long-form prose monologues, like this—in a way that makes the dialogue read, at least to my eye, more like Adam West's Batman or a Hanna-Barbara cartoon than erotica.
