Comfy homes Anon 04/12/2020 (Sun) 21:38:22 No.235
What's a place you'd like to live in? A home needn't be glamorous or large; above all, it should be comfy. I like these Middle Eastern style mud brick houses, especially that you can climb on the roof to relax and lay in the sun.
A "modular" house that's a bunch of shipping containers welded together. DIY, maybe EMP-hardened or a Faraday cage, extensible, cheap. Doesn't have to look like shit either; you can have whatever external façade, balconies...

Something small in the wilderness where I can live away from everyone and everything.

I want to live in a comfy farmhouse way out in the country, where I can grow crops, raise livestock, and live in pure contentment with my lovely waifu and our many children.
I want a home that's at least a mile away from the next nearest human being, and with functional amenities. Something small and easy to maintain would be a plus. It's all I really want right now.

All I need. Bliss is found in simplicity.

Might be a bit too glamorous for many people here, but I sometimes dream of living in a spacious and futuristic apartment far above the bustle of the city. Floor-to-ceiling windows would be a plus, but I'd need some way of being sure that nobody can look inside because I'm super paranoid about that kind of stuff. idk maybe my dream is also about being a rich city-dweller. I wish I had infinite money so I could consoom without feeling guilty about it.
>>301 That is super comfy. Got more pics like this?

Three different fantasies. 1. A sort of hidden apartment. Something out of the way, nestled within the city but still isolated, maybe something that used to be a non-residential space. Ceiling windows would be nice. No real neighbors, like you would have in an apartment building. I'm not a fan of people constantly coming and going right outside my door. 2. A fancy high rise apartment with a view that looks good at night. 3. A house of my own design. Two floors, a basement and a garage. Compact, and with heavily reinforced doors and windows because I don't want all my shit getting stolen. I don't know where the house would be located. There should not be other people's windows within sight, unless they're far enough away. One of my least favorite things about my apartment is that the blinds have to be closed 24/7 for privacy. I want to move, but it's difficult. I've even repeatedly had dreams about looking for or getting a new apartment.

I don't know if this house would be a good idea, but it looks super comfy.
>>510 Looks pretty dank
>>511 Humidity and mosquitoes would definitely be a serious problem.
>>510 Looks comfy if you're a frog. Living on a shallow island in the middle of a swamp doesn't sound too appealing to me though.

I always wanted to live in a hobbit home or somewhere like the second picture. They look like such peaceful places.
>>235 In a castle surrounded by mountains and wooded areas. With lots of game to hunt and fish, to trade my gatherings and makings at the market in the closest town. Annually travel when I can to explore the world around me and meet new people. One could hope lmao

I think a commie block apartment would be comfy in a weird way.
>>565 >tfw you'll never achieve your dream of living inside the moon might as well end it now tbh

>>573 Why do you wanna live inside the moon? Just seems like it'd be cold, dark and not comfy at all. Are you a villain?

I've always been daydreaming of just owning a piece of land in the middle of nowhere and live there, far beyond the world. Of course, with access to the internet, since you're my only... friends... Hmm hmm hmm...

>>606 Is this a reference I don't understand?
>>608 The part of wanting to be living in a piece of land in the middle of nowhere with internet access is not. The latter is just larping as goldman since he seems funny how he always says... friends...

A nice little cabin in some relatively small island with one else in it, in the south of Chile. That or the typical penthouse in the city.

>>647 That second one looks spooky.
>>1654 Berry /comfy/ looking tbh. I like it Anon.

>>567 I think part of it is the anonymity. Nobody is expecting anything of you. You're not the subject of anyone's attention.
>>1919 Yeah, it's the same on boards like this one. Your post is like a flat in a big high rise.
>What's a place you'd like to live in? Just any place where people wood live me alone.

>>1920 Exactly. Emerging from the anonymous mass to give my input before fading away again, free from consequence or prying eyes, is a berry liberating feeling. Of course people use this power to spew hate, shippost, or otherwise generally act like douchecanoes.
>>1922 As long as it's not so cold

Open file (690.03 KB 1800x1205 lighthouse home.jpg)
Ever since I was a teen I thought living in a lighthouse wood be heaven on earth. Problem is you'd need either a ship ton of money to buy/maintain one or a considerable amount of maritime experience to work as a lighthouse attendant. >>566 I feel you man. Sadly those are probably a pain in the ass to heat properly. >>1923 Just the nature of anonymity. People can show their true selves or what they want to get out of their chest.

>>235 A nice little comfy modern apartment. Id like for it to have tinted windows and a telescope so that i can look outside and watch outside.
I'd like to live in a Japanese ghost town.
I’d say something like a Rural Village near or in Yanbian.

>>2749 This was a travelogue from a Mandarin speaker who traveled there firsthand.
>>2750 It’s one of those things which are really based on mindset and previous beliefs. A Chinese person wood have different opinions on the US then an American wood etc.
>>584 I played Starbound on godmode just to build a large castle with outer and inner doors I could lock behind me and feel safe. Safe in a bedroom, safe in a tower with really thick walls, safe in a bathroom with large, curvy bath. It kinda satisfyed my thirst for a while, but I stopped working for like 3 days for that. uwu
