Is a centralized figure that represents evil formally recognized in the bible or is it just demons and false gods? Satan and Devil refer to titles and Lucifer depending on translations referred to a fallen king so is there legitimately a fallen angel that tempts man into sin, or does evil boil down to man's inclination towards it due to his fallen nature?
>>1469 In my opinion I think Satan exist but as any demon,it may temp you with pleasure and prices , but he doesn't have any powers and can only be in one place.
See this thread https://8kun.top/christian/res/855290.html on arguments for and against the devil as a supernatural being in the bible. >Satan and Devil refer to titles and Lucifer depending on translations "ha-satan" is only a title in the old testament for "the advesary" or "the prosecutor". This is not true in the New testament. >referred to a fallen king so is there legitimately a fallen angel that tempts man into sin Sometimes the bible makes offhand comments about satan when talking about other things, but i don't think means that it's not true to satan such as 2 Corinthians 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. >or does evil boil down to man's inclination towards it due to his fallen nature? Here is the debate on Satan and demons being personal being https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xyjWTM19HTs Heads up, the author is a christian leftist, but it's still a good debate.
Is a centralized figure that represents evil formally recognized in the bible or is it just demons and false gods? It's open to both, a centralized devil that controls lesser demons that are also false gods, but there are different interpretations to whether or not Satan is a supernatural being or a personal temptation to sin.
